Undying echoes of silence
Undying Echoes of Silence is a thrilling and onerous journey into the past undertaken by a crime investigator to uncover the mysteries shrouding the death of an innocent, young woman in a nondescript village, Paleri, in the southernmost state of Kerala, in the 1950s.
Set in the period of the first Communist Government, the novel portrays the transition of an Indian village from a feudal system to democracy. It also unravels the nefarious nexus between the police, criminal elements and the political establishment, and speaks of the predicament of women that remains the same despite socio-political changes in the third world.
