Lungten Dubgyur is currently serving as a judge of the Chukha District Court. He has also served as a judge of the Phuentsholing Dungkhag Court from 2001 to 2003. After his Bachelors Degree in Economics Honours as first batch from Sherubtse College in Kanglung, he joined the Judiciary in 1995 as first batch in Post Graduate Diploma in National (Bhutanese) Law. He enrolled in Government Law College, Bombay, for LL.B Degree and obtained the Masters Degree in Laws in Information Technology and Intellectual Property Law, Medical Jurisprudence and Public International Law from Edinburgh Law School in the United Kingdom.
Dubgyur is the member of the Constitution Drafting Committee. He was also responsible in assisting the drafting and translation of Direct and Indirect Taxation Act of Bhutan under the aegis of the Department of Revenue and Customs, Ministry of Finance. His interests are in the areas of legal research and writings.
