Persuasion (all time classics)

Anne Elliot, a 27 years old woman, whose family is on the brink of financial ruin rent their home to an admiral and his wife. The wife’s brother, Navy Captain Frederick Wentworth, had been engaged to Anne eight years ago, but Anne precipitously broke off the engagement when persuaded by her friend Lady Russell. Anne still loves Wentworth, so each meeting with him requires preparation for her own strong emotions. All the tension of the novel revolves around one question: Will Anne and Wentworth be reunited in their love?
